The ‘Perkeo’ playground is located in the centre of Salorno, just a few steps from the Gasthof. It is a pleasant place and a meeting place for children and parents. The park bears the name Perkeo. The dwarf Clemens Pankert was born in Salurn in 1702. Prince Elector Charles Phillip III of the Palatinate hired him as a court jester in the Palatinate capital, Heidelberg. His legendary thirst led to another assignment: he was appointed keeper of the ‘Great Barrel’, the largest barrel in the world at that time.
